Dealing with Doubt

Passage: The Gospel According to Luke Luke 7:18-35

If you live long enough, you will experience the heart sickness of your expectations and hopes that crash and burn. (Proverbs 13:12) It’s one thing for your favorite team to lose a game, to not get the desired job, to long for a spouse, or to have financial difficulty, but what if your disappointment is solely with God? When God doesn’t do what you expect him to do, does your faith waiver? Luke has been making a case since chapter one that Jesus is the Messiah. In the heart-sickness of God not meeting your expectations, how can you be certain that Jesus is the King He claims to be? What do you do when God doesn’t show up the way you think He should?
