Passage: Luke 5:1-32
Luke has already shown us that Jesus has the authority to cast out demons and has authority over disease of any kind. After seeing Jesus’ miracles, the crowd was impressed, but they enjoyed Jesus’ authority as a spectator.
What if Jesus' authority comes knocking on the door of your life? Does it make you nervous when He gets involved in your life. Do you trust Jesus’ authority? Jesus does have authority over people. Maybe you have experienced ungodly authority in their life, making it difficult to trust. (Proverbs 29:2)
Before you reject all authority in life, consider what happens when you come in contact with good, righteous, holy, and trustworthy authority. The aim of this passage of scripture is that you can have certainty about Jesus’ authority in your life and what happens as a result.
