Giving Changes Lives

When you participate in online giving, you decide in advance to faithfully give. We give because he has first given to us and because he has given us all things in Christ. For the Christian seeking to reflect the image of Christ in our lives giving becomes a natural overflow of our hearts and a stewardship of the resources God has given us.

FAQs

Why We Give?

As Christians, we give as an expression of gratitude and recognition that all blessings, both material and spiritual, come from God. We have a responsibility to serve God with our time, talents, and possessions, recognizing these as gifts entrusted to us for the greater glory of God and to assist others. According to the Scriptures, we are encouraged to give cheerfully, regularly, systematically, proportionately, and generously to advance the mission of Jesus Christ our Redeemer here on earth. What is tithing?

One question we receive about financial giving is “Should I tithe?” The short answer is, maybe. Christians are no longer under the Law of the Old Covenant. Under the Law Israelites were required to give tithes (10%) of money and produce for various offerings (Leviticus 27:30; Numbers 18:26; Deuteronomy 14:24; 2 Chronicles 31:5). Christians however are no longer under the Law, but under grace (Romans 6:14; Galatians 5:18). This freedom from the Law means we now give to the Lord out of free desire rather than forced duty.
