Passage: 1 Timothy 1:18-20
Jesus has taught us that Satan is a liar - the father of lies. We see this first in Genesis when he cast doubt on God’s
word. We see in the book of Revelation that Jesus has defeated Satan the deceiver, but until his final defeat,
Satan continues to attack the church in the same way, casting doubt on God’s word.
As we keep reading in 1 Timothy, Paul told Timothy to guard the gospel. What he means by this is to guard it by
proclaiming, obeying, and making sure no one changes it. Are you ready for the war against gospel truth? Are
you equipped?
