Series: Revelation: Following Our Victorious King

Resisting the Seduction of Evil

July 28, 2024 | Zach Schlegel
Passage: Revelation 17:1-18

God’s word uses language in different ways. For example, in Proverbs 26:11 we see some very graphic language about the failure to learn a lesson and repeating folly. Reading this type of language can be shocking, but it wakes us up to sin in ourselves and in the world. The book of Revelation does the same thing - waking us up to make us alert.

Deception, threats, and seduction come to us in different ways. Here, the curtain is pulled back, and the true nature of the enemy is revealed. May God awaken our hearts, making us alert to the seduction of the world.
