Passage: Psalms 16:1-11
We treasure photographs. They remind us of people and events that are dear to us. They are especially precious when they remind us of people who have gone before us. Photographs bring us joy.
Psalm 16 reminds us to discover layers of joy. In spite of the losses, trials and tragedies of life, we can find joy in God’ presence. David, the psalmist, experienced the lowest of lows and the highest of highs. This psalm will help us to know how God comes alongside us and gives us joy in all circumstances.
It is so easy to delight ourselves in so many other things like people, sports, hobbies, or even religious practices. When the music stops and things get rough, how does God show us how to find satisfaction and comfort for our soul?
