Series: Easter Holiday

The Triumphal Entry of the King

March 24, 2024 | Tony Edwards
Passage: Luke 19:28-44

Luke 19:28-44

Introduction

Have you ever been looking for something but couldn’t find it? You thought it was in one type of packaging, but it is in something completely different, and you missed it. Most Jews missed Jesus for the same reason. They thought that the Messiah would be a mighty warrior who would free them from the rule of the Romans. They weren’t looking for a lowly, suffering Savior.

Today, most people miss Jesus as well. He isn’t what they expect Him to be. They want a savior who will grant their wishes or someone who will solve all their problems. To joyously welcome Jesus as our King, we need to understand properly who He is.
