Series: Fear Not!

Seeing the Unseen

October 18, 2026 | Tyrone Moorehead
Passage: 2 Kings 6:8-23

A phone call late at night or early in the morning can be distressing. It seems that any call at any time that is not typical can be frightening. You may start to fear the worst even before you answer the call. Have you been there? What about just waking up every morning? Do you awaken with anxiety that can grip your heart?

You may trust the sovereignty of God. It may be easy on Sunday during worship. What about Monday? How do you respond? Do you panic or do you punch back? Both reactions come from the same problem – not seeing everything. When God opens your eyes, the situation changes. He wants you to see Who stands with you and to see your enemies as God sees them.

We want open eyes to see our God who out numbers our enemies and out loves them too. In the passage, there was no godly leadership, but God did not abandon them. God sent prophets to call them back. Where are you today? Do you trust the sovereign God, or do you wonder if God still sees you amid your problems?
