Passage: Matthew 20:1-16
Have you ever taken time to consider what your great-grandparents or grandparents did that led to where you are today? Did you know of their sacrifice? What did they do to provide for their families? Think back to your encounters and conversations with them. Do you see God’s faithfulness and grace? Many in our own congregation are where they are today because of the hard work and faith of the generations that came before.
Today’s message is about laborers in the field. The work they did provided for their families. They were counting on a daily wage just to live. Do you know people like that? How do you think God might be calling you to help care for and help those who have less than you?
The theme of today’s sermon is : Salvation is not based on man’s efforts, but on God’s grace and generosity.
