Series: Looking to God our Provider

God is Greater than your Heart

April 12, 2026 | Mike Rogers
Passage: The First Letter of John 1 John 3:16-24

Love is a big word. The world portrays what they think love should look like in songs, movies, books, etc. When we see passages of scripture like this, some may think that they understand and know how to love. Others may be confused about what love is and what it should look like. What is your idea of love - what it means and what should it look like?

Our natural tendency, because of sin, is hatred. You can see this played out in what happened between Cain and Abel in Genesis 4. Yet, one of the clear marks of being a Christian is our love for one another. How can you make sure that your love isn’t following cultural norms? What if your love for other believers has grown cold? Does this make you question whether or not you are truly a believer?
