Ordinances

The Ordinances Ministry team assists the pastor and the baptismal candidates for baptisms and provides setup and coordination for serving the Lord's Supper.

ActsOne8Missions

FBCUM refers to our missions team as the “Acts One 8” team. Jesus tells His disciples in Acts 1:8: “… and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit”

They exist to encourage and disciple members of the First Baptist Church of Upper Marlboro (FBCUM) to glorify God through the faithful proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations, tribes, and tongues, in obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20):

Building & Property

The Building & Property team provides maintenance and manages the church’s property and equipment following established policies. The team also creates and maintains physical inventories of church equipment and furniture, providing analysis and recommendations to the church regarding future needs for existing property.

Choir

The church choir ministry is a musical fellowship dedicated to praising through song. Members use their voices to lead congregational singing, present special music, and enhance worship services. It fosters fellowship, spiritual growth, and sharing God's message through harmonious melodies, enriching the worship experience for all.

FBC BookStall

Audio Visual (A/V)

The Audio Visual Ministry team is responsible for all audiovisual support required for worship services and church-related activities and events. We utilize various methods to engage volunteers in this area, but our primary approach is through a rotation system.
